Bloggy Giveaway

Bloggy Giveaways Quarterly Carnival Button

Okay, this is my first time participating in the bloggy giveaways! I actually won something last time, me who never wins anything! So , I thought that I would go ahead and give some stuff away myself.

How it works is really simple, leave a comment about what the favorite thing is that you have made and I will randomly choose a winner on April 27th. The winner will win the pattern and directions for the denim skirt, from the Kids Can Sew curriculum that I talk about on this site. My girls are in the process of making this right now!

You don't have to be a blogger to win, just make sure that you leave an email address so I can contact you if you win! This giveaway is open to everyone. International entrants are welcome!

That's it, pretty simple! Just don't forget to leave a comment about the favorite thing that you have made (no "please enter me," or "I want to win," etc.)--if you don't you won't be entered to win.

Also don't forget to check out my other blogs for more chances to win more FREE stuff!

For Christmas this year I made each one of my five nephews a pillow set. Each set was a regular pillow a long skinny one and two square ones. I love that I have created something they like. My oldest nephew actually took one to his moms, one to his dads and two at grandmas so he could always have one of his special pillows no matter where he sleeps...it made me cry when he told me...then I made him two more sets!

Not much, but I'm just new at the whole sewing thing and they are saving us some money on paper products!

Enter me, please, and thank you for your giveaway!

Barb J. said...

Okay, I confess. I don't really know how to sew either. But it is something that my daughter and I have both been talking about learning, so I'm sure we could use this. I made a throw pillow in girl scouts once (sewing by hand). Does that count?

I'm not a great seamstress, but I did make a doll quilt for my daughter's third birthday. She still sleeps with it every night and she's eight now.

It is hard to decide on favorite things, I have made so much over the years. I think one of my favorites was my daughters wedding dress. She had two patterns, two different companies, one with the v going down and the waist and one with it going up and wanted part of one dress and part of the other. It came out beautiful!

Thanks for making me think about it!

Laura Delich said...

The most fun thing I ever made was a hospital bag for my sister when she was expecting her first child. I made it out of an old pair of jeans, using the waist band for the handles. It opened out flat and had all sorts of pockets that I stuffed with all the labor and hospital stay necessities. It was so much fun to make, and I would love to have a resource for teaching my daughters how to sew!

My girls and I sew mostly crafts, but have TRIED our hand at doll clothes. I've wanted to make my girls little summer dresses forever, but I just can't seem to do clothes as well as crafts. Maybe your giveaway can help us make something simple and jumpstart our desire to do clothes. We make tea coasters, pillows, tote bags, doll clothes, and we've done patchwork quilts for teachers at school before I started homeschooling. Thanks for offering this.
